The RID 3km Prayer Movement, launched in 2017, was a powerful initiative aimed at mobilizing Nigerian youth to pray for the spiritual and national transformation of their country. This movement organized simultaneous prayer walks across 14 cities in Nigeria, including Ibadan, Kaduna, Lagos Island, Uyo, Abeokuta, Kebbi, Mowe, Edo, Ikorodu, Akure, Ota, Ile-Ife, among others.
The movement sought to unite Nigerian youth in prayer, ignite a spiritual revival, and raise awareness about the power of prayer in shaping the nation’s destiny. Key themes included the transformative power of prayer, the hope for national prosperity, and the importance of unity and collaboration. Participants were reminded that prayer must be paired with concrete action and involvement in nation-building.
The impact of the RID 3km Prayer Movement was profound. It sparked a spiritual revival among young Nigerians, fostered unity and solidarity, and inspired many to take action for the betterment of the nation. This prayer movement continues to inspire its participants to contribute actively to Nigeria’s transformation, through both faith and action.
