Politics of the Future Conference Abridged Report (Also, Politics that Works Book launch and MOP Nigeria Mentorship project launch)

The Politics of the Future Conference, a momentous event that also marked the launch of the Politics that Works book and the MOP Nigeria Mentorship project, was a resounding success. The conference drew a remarkable turnout of political dignitaries, far exceeding our initial expectations.

The esteemed guest list included a veritable who’s who of Nigerian politics and beyond. We were honored to welcome the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at the time, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, as well as renowned figures such as Apostle Emmanuel Iren, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Pastor Mayowa Sanni, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, Senator Ndoma Egba, His Excellency Ibrahim Shekarau, Senator Yerima, Ambassador Yanni Splotas, Bolaji Owasanoye, Uka Eje, Charles Sylvester, Hon. Shina Peller, Hon. Wahab Alawiye King, Dayo Israel, Babatunde Irukera, Hon. Hafiz Kawu Ibrahim, Hamzat Lawal, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, and many other distinguished individuals.

The conference was a vibrant and engaging affair, kicking off with a captivating spoken word performance by Oreva Olujimi. The Vice President delivered a keynote address that set the tone for the event, followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion featuring three generations of influential Nigerians.

The highlight of the conference was the official launch of the Politics that Works book and the MOP Nigeria Mentorship project. Both initiatives have since garnered significant attention and made a tangible impact. The book has been widely sold, inspiring a new generation of political leaders and providing valuable insights into the future of Nigerian politics.
The MOP mentorship platform has connected aspiring young politicians with seasoned mentors, empowering them with strategies, networks, and the necessary tools to succeed. This initiative is poised to play a pivotal role in transforming the political landscape and fostering a new era of ethical leadership in Nigeria.

As we look ahead, the MOP movement is committed to building a formidable force of young, upright, and creative leaders who will shape the future of our nation. Through our mentorship programs, capacity-building initiatives, and advocacy efforts, we aim to empower the next generation of political leaders and create a Nigeria that is prosperous, just, and equitable.

RID’s Founder & Buhari’s SA Announces Book on Politics to be officially presented by the Vice President on the 4th of October.

It is the era for youth dominance of the Nigerian political space as the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Sen. Babafemi Ojudu and a Youth Advocate, Alex Adekunle James announces a book, with a fully mapped out roadmap for upright, innovative and young elites to flood the political space, taking over the structured parties and ultimately dominating the seats of Government, titled Politics that Works – What Schools and Seminars Won’t Teach you About Winning Elections.
The ground breaking book will be officially presented on the 4th of October in a conference that will be chaired by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, among other dignitaries.

The manual, first of its kind in Nigeria ,  has 10 chapters that comes   with step-by-step strategies for creative, upright and young elites to flood the political space, taking over the structured parties and ultimately dominating the seats of Government.

An 11th chapter was added, where the authors had exclusive interviews with young political office holders, and documented their political journey and winning tactics. They include: The Federal House of Representative members from Oyo State, Hon. Shina Peller and Hon Olumide Ojerinde, from Ondo State, Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye (Small Alhaji), from Kano State, Hon Ibrahim Hafiz Kahu and a Benue state House of Assembly member and Minority Whip, Honorable Cephas Nyako.
The book’s foreword was written by the Leader  in the 7th Senate and former Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba .

Endorsements for the book were written by the Senior Pastor of Daystar Christain Center, Dr. Sam Adeyemi, the Founder/CEO of Cable Newspapers, Simon Kolawole, a Professor of Political Science, Federal University Oye Ekiti, Azeez O. Olaniyan, PhD, a  reputable young politician and member of the SUBEB Board , Lagos State Chapter, Hon. Dayo Israel, among others.
Speaking about the book Ojudu’s youthful collaborator Mr Alex Adekunle narrates how  Ojudu is deeply passionate about equipping the next generation of leaders to transform Nigeria  into a first world nation and for that reason, he has poured his many decades of experience as a political journalist, a political strategist, who has served at the top level in  the campaign of  Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s gubernatorial race in 1999 and has also been at the forefront of several victorious senatorial, governorship, and presidential race, into this book .

Ojudu describes Alex Adekunle as a resourceful, patriotic and passionate young Nigerian who  is very passionate about seeing members of his generation take over the affairs of Nigeria and run a country of the 21st century.
A very intriguing continuity and sustainability plan to the Politics that Works book is the brilliantly structured program called MOP Nigeria, where interested youths would be enrolled into a mentorship program that will give guardianship and support to 500 young Nigerians to participate and get into positions of power by 2031.
